  *Program Introduction*  
      Sun Microsystems, Inc.is launching a worldwide on-campus student intern program – Sun CampusAmbassador Program – to train Sun technology student experts andpromoteSun technology adoption among the academic developers.  
  From February 2006 –June2007, thereare 38 ambassadors joined the campus ambassadors team in China, theylearnedSun technologies from Sun engineers and Sun ambassador training plan,spreadSun technologies to academic developers by tech talk, salon, trainingandcontest, some of the outstanding ambassadors became Sun employee whentheygraduated.  
      The 2007-2008 campusambassadorprogram will start, Sun is looking for graduate or senior levelstudentswith a strong background in software development/programming as SunCampusAmbassadors that can work for Sun at least for 6 months.   
      The Campus Ambassadorswill work in conjunction with the Global Education and Research teamandengineers at Sun to drive adoption of Sun platforms (Solaris and Java)and development tools among Academic Developers (students, faculty,researchersand IT development communities).   
      Sun will provideextensivetraining to the Campus Ambassadors on Sun technologies, includingOpenSolaris,Java, Netbeans, Sun Studio and so on.   
  The Campus Ambassadors wouldwork approximately60-80 hours per month including training time to promote Sun technologyand development tools on campus.

  *Qualifications*  
  - Proficient in C/C++, Javaprogramminglanguage.  
  - Interest and experiencewith Unix/Linux.  
  - Good command of English inwriting,reading and speaking.  
  - Excellent communicationskills.  
  - Comfortable and confidentwith publicspeaking.  
  - Self-motivated, highlyorganized andcan work independently.  
  
  *Preferred*  
  - Experience with Solaris,Sun Studioor NetBeans.  
  - Experience of organizingactivities.  
  - Major in ComputerEngineering/Science.  
  - Graduate student.
